Outdoor & Adventure Expo Grabouw: A Weekend in the Great Outdoors
If your idea of a good weekend involves camping gear, off-road adventures or planning the next trip into the great outdoors, the Outdoor & Adventure Expo Grabouw is worth a look. Now in its fourth year, the event takes place from 6 to 8 November 2026 at the Elgin Grabouw Sport Club grounds, with the Hottentots-Holland Mountains and Eikenhof Dam providing a fitting backdrop for a weekend devoted to outdoor living.
See What’s New in Outdoor Living
Buying a caravan, upgrading your camping setup or kitting out a 4×4 takes a fair bit of research. At the expo, you can see different options up close and compare products without travelling between multiple suppliers. Exhibitors group their products by category, so you can compare your options and chat directly with the people who know their products best. There’s also plenty for those who enjoy the smaller details of outdoor life, from handmade knives and braais to cycling gear and clothing built for time outside.
More Than a Walk Around the Stands
The expo also brings together businesses working in outdoor tourism and adventure, so visitors can find inspiration beyond equipment. You might find a new destination to add to your travel plans or learn about an activity you’ve been meaning to try. The event’s location near Eikenhof Dam adds to the experience, with non-motorised water-sport demonstrations among the activities. Food vendors and a beer tent offer a place to take a break, while a children’s play area gives younger visitors something to enjoy, too.

Make a Weekend of It
Grabouw is worth exploring beyond the expo grounds, particularly if you enjoy spending time outdoors. The surrounding Elgin Valley has mountain scenery and plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, making it easy to turn a day at the event into a longer stay. For visitors travelling from further afield, it’s a chance to enjoy the expo and get to know a little more of the area while they’re there.
