The Women’s Trail Run is a women’s trail run in women’s month taking place in the famous Elgin Grabouw valley that is known for its orchards, vineyards and undulating countryside. You are in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom with the Kogelberg and Groenland Mountains creating an amphitheatre that embraces the experience in nature for which your travel-heart is longing.
The host is the amazing Elgin Grabouw Country Club. The Elgin Grabouw Country Club boasts breathtaking and spectacular views of the surrounding Hottentots Holland, Nuweberg and Groenland mountains. The drive from Cape Town or Worcester takes approximately 60 minutes whilst the trip from Somerset West, Gordon’s Bay and Hermanus will take approximately 35 minutes.
Routes:
Long Route: 21km Forest Run – 520m elevation
A combination of the Elgin Valley and Grabouw Forest Trails with breathtaking views the Eikenhof dam and surrounding apple farms. Why not end off with a refreshing dip in the Eikenhof dam.
Short Route: 11km Wesselsgat Run – 250m elevation
A lovely meander through fynbos and making a turn by Wesselsgat with plenty of views to soak up.
