The Oak Valley Xtreme Trail Run offers trail runners an opportunity to run on the Oak Valley trails that are otherwise exclusively for mountain bikes. Located in the picturesque Elgin Valley, known for its orchards, vineyards and undulating countryside, participants get to immerse themselves in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom and Groenland mountains.
Expect flowing single track, tough climbs, and breathtaking views of the Groenland mountains. With purpose-driven partners and a sustainability focus, OVX is more than a race—it’s adventure with impact in nature.

Oak Valley Estate offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Hottentots Holland and Groenland mountains. Nestled in the heart of the Elgin Valley, Oak Valley offers runners flowing single track, challenging climbs, and inspiring scenery. The drive from Cape Town or Worcester takes approximately 60 minutes. The trip from Somerset West, Gordon’s Bay and Hermanus will be even shorter, taking approximately 35 minutes.
