Moortop Cottages sits in the heart of the picturesque Elgin Valley and offers three spacious cottages. We opened our doors in early 2019, welcoming guests to our charmingly renovated farm-style cottages that sit among the fruit orchards.
Our cottages are close to most wedding venues in the area and quickly accessible to the N2 and popular farmstalls. Based on a working fruit farm, aptly named Moortop, as we are one of the highest points in the Elgin valley. The farm, predominantly farming apples, but also some pears.
​Offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains, Moortop Cottages provides the perfect place to unwind and escape city life. Just a short drive from Cape Town, one can easily switch off. Surrounded yourself with nature or indulge in a variety of outdoor activities if you’re feeling more adventurous. We have solar panels and an inverter system, which is great during load shedding!
