Celebrate National Braai Day on Wednesday, 24 September 2025, with soulful flavours, fine wine, and live music in the breathtaking Paul Clüver Amphitheatre. Surrounded by Elgin’s natural beauty, Pinot Noir & Fire combines the heritage of South African braai culture with the elegance of cool-climate Pinot Noir.
🔥 The Feast
Endorsed by Jan Braai and prepared alongside celebrated chef Bertus Basson, the menu showcases an inspired take on heritage cooking. Guests will enjoy a generous live-fire spread served from braai stations across the amphitheatre lawns.
From the coals:
- Cape Malay lamb sosaties
- Chutney-basted chicken thighs
- Whole apricot-glazed snoek
- Aged sirloin with chimichurri
Seasonal sides will complement the fire-cooked feast, including creamy samp, harissa mielies, and kale & apple salad.
🍞 The “Brood Tafel”
On arrival, a beautifully curated table will welcome guests with:
- Freshly baked roosterkoek
- Biltong spread
- Local cheeses and fruits
- Other regional favourites
🍮 Dessert Trays
To end the celebration, roaming trays will offer nostalgic South African treats such as mini melktert, peppermint crisp tart, and golden koeksisters.
🎶 Music & Atmosphere
Award-winning artist Elvis Blue will perform live in the forest amphitheatre, creating the perfect soundtrack for this open-air celebration.
